High Speed Door Repair in McAdoo
When a high speed door stops cycling, your traffic backs up and your conditioned air leaks out. We repair torn curtains, sensor faults and drive problems, then check back after the job so you know the door is holding up under your real traffic.

Fast doors take a beating. We keep them running.
Fast doors are built to cycle again and again through every shift, sometimes hundreds of times before the crew goes home. That speed is the reason you put one in, and it is also why small problems grow quickly. A curtain that drags in its guide, a photo eye knocked out of line or a drive that faults now and then will turn into a door left open or a stalled forklift.
We work on the fabric roll-up doors used between warehouse zones, on freezer and cooler openings, and on exterior doors that face weather. Most of our work is repair: replacing or resetting curtains, fixing activation and safety sensors, sorting out drive and limit faults, and adjusting seals.
Once the door is running, we do not just leave. We come back to see how it is doing after a few weeks of use and show your team the simple checks that catch trouble early.
What our high speed door work covers
- Curtain repair and replacement
- Torn panels, worn wind ribs and damaged bottom edges are the most common failures. We replace the section or the full curtain and set it so it tracks straight in the guides.
- Breakaway resets
- Many fast doors are built to let the curtain pop out when a forklift clips it. We reset it properly and look at why it keeps happening, since repeated hits wear the guides and edges.
- Sensors and activation
- Photo eyes, light curtains, motion detectors and floor loops all tell the door when to open and when to stop. We clean, align and test each one so the door reacts to traffic and never closes on a person or a load.
- Drive, motor and controls
- Intermittent faults often trace back to the drive settings, a worn encoder or loose wiring in the control box. We find the cause, correct the limits and speeds, and record what we changed.
- Seals and cold-room details
- On freezer and cooler doors we check brush seals, side seals and heated guides, because a poor seal lets frost build and stiffens the curtain.
Signs your high speed door needs attention
It reverses or stops partway
A door that bounces back before it closes usually has a sensor out of line, a dirty lens or a limit that has drifted.
The curtain keeps coming out
If your crew resets the breakaway several times a week, the guides or curtain edge are likely worn and every reset adds more wear.
Slower than it used to be
A door that hesitates or runs slow can point to drive settings, a tired motor or a curtain dragging in its track.
Visible tears or frayed edges
Small rips spread quickly at high cycle counts. Catching them early often means a panel instead of a whole curtain.
Frost or drafts around the opening
Ice on the guides or cold air at the seals means you are losing temperature and the door is working harder, which shows up fast in a Pennsylvania winter.
How a repair visit runs
- 1
We talk it over by phone
Give us a quick rundown of the symptoms, roughly how many cycles the door sees in a shift and what the opening serves. With that, we can bring the likely parts and plan the visit around your schedule.
- 2
On-site inspection
We run the door, read any fault codes and look at the curtain, guides, sensors and drive. You get a plain explanation of what we found and what we recommend, with photos if that helps.
- 3
The repair
We lock out the door, mark off the work area and keep traffic clear of it. Afterward we test through full cycles and confirm every safety device stops and reverses the door.
- 4
Care walkthrough and follow-up
Before we leave, we show your staff what to watch for and how to keep lenses and guides clean. Then we check back after the door has seen real traffic, to make sure the fix is holding.

What changes the price of high speed door repair
No two doors fail quite the same way, so we set the price once we've seen the problem. You get the options in writing before work begins, and the amount you sign off on is the amount you should expect.
- One panel or the whole curtain
- Swapping one damaged panel is cheaper than a full curtain. The size of the door and the fabric, such as insulated material for cold rooms, also affect the price.
- How easy parts are to get
- Standard sensors and seals are simple to find. Drive parts or pieces made for one brand can take more time and cost more.
- Why it failed
- A single tear is an easy fix. If the door keeps getting struck, the guides may need repair or the sensors may need resetting so the hits stop.
- Reach and timing
- Tall openings, freezer rooms and doors that must stay running during busy hours can call for a lift or work outside your shifts.
Questions about high speed doors
Something not covered here? (570) 526-4929
Will you fix a door someone else installed?
In most cases, yes. High speed doors are built from the same core parts: curtain, guides, drive, controls and sensors. When a part only comes from one manufacturer, we let you know right away and give you an honest estimate of the wait.
Should we repair an older high speed door?
Many times, yes. A fresh curtain and correctly aligned sensors can keep an older door working for years. If the drive or controls are giving out and parts are hard to find, we'll tell you directly and go over replacement through our loading dock equipment sales and installation work.
Why do forklifts keep hitting our door?
Usually the door opens too slowly for how fast traffic moves, the activation sensors point the wrong way, or the hold-open time is too short. We adjust those settings so the door is fully open before a truck gets there, which spares the curtain.
Will the opening be closed for the whole day?
Seldom. Most repairs take a few hours, and we can work around your busiest shifts. On bigger jobs we let you know in advance how long the opening will be down.
What comes after the repair?
We show your team easy upkeep, like cleaning the sensor lenses and keeping the guides free of debris. After the door has run under normal traffic, we check back. Plenty of customers add our loading dock preventative maintenance so doors, levelers and restraints are checked on a set schedule.
